DRAFTnot legal advice
Terms of service
The agreement you would accept when you open an Enquiry account.
DRAFT, not legal advice. Written as a starting point for a solicitor to check before Enquiry opens to the public. It isn’t in force, and nothing here is a promise yet. Marks like [To decide: this] are things still to be decided.
Last changed 26 Oct 2026. Earlier versions: none.
Who we are
Enquiry is a form backend made and run by Bromputers, a web studio in Bromley, London. The seller is [To decide: the legal entity that sells Enquiry (Bromputers is a trading name), its registered address and number]. In these terms “we” and “us” mean the seller, and “you” means the business or person who opens the account.
Enquiry is sold to businesses, not to consumers. By opening an account you confirm you are acting for a business or for your own trade.
What you get
One plan, Pro: 10,000 emails a month (each enquiry emailed to you and each autoresponse counts as one), unlimited forms and websites, up to 5 recipients per form, up to 10 confirmed email addresses, file uploads of up to 10 MB each and 5 GB stored, the spam folder, the autoresponder and up to a year of history per form. The pricing page lists what is included and what is coming.
When a limit is reached, Enquiry stops rather than charging more: over the monthly emails, forms answer with a “monthly limit reached” message until the 1st of the next month. There are no overage charges.
The trial
A new account starts with a 14-day free trial of Pro, with 100 emails in it. You add a card when the trial starts. Unless you cancel before the 14 days end, the subscription starts and the card is charged. Before the trial starts, a new account can make forms and send test submissions only.
Paying
Pro costs US$10 a month or US$100 a year, before tax. Orders are handled by our reseller, Paddle.com Market Limited, who is the merchant of record: Paddle sells you the subscription, charges any VAT or sales tax and sends the receipts. Paddle’s own buyer terms apply to the payment.
If a payment fails, Paddle retries it. If it still fails after Paddle’s retries, the account is paused: forms answer “this form is paused” and nothing is emailed, but your data is kept (see “Ending”). Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice by email, from your next renewal [To decide: notice period].
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time from Billing & usage in the dashboard; the plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. The refund policy says when we refund.
Your content and your visitors
What your website visitors send through your forms is yours. You decide what your forms collect and who receives it; for that data you are the controller and we are your processor, under the data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms.
You must tell your visitors how their enquiry is handled. The customer privacy wording is a starting point for your own privacy notice.
Using it fairly
You agree to the acceptable use policy. We may pause a form or an account straight away if it is used against that policy or puts our email sending at risk (for example a high bounce or complaint rate), and we will tell you why by email.
Our service
We aim to keep Enquiry working all the time and show its state on the status page, but we don’t promise it will never be unavailable. Each delivery is recorded and retried if it fails; email can still be delayed or filtered by the receiving mail provider, which we don’t control. Keep the dashboard as your record of what arrived.
We may change Enquiry, add features and retire ones that are little used, without making it materially worse for the plan you paid for.
Liability
[To decide: the liability cap (commonly the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim) and the exclusions; a solicitor should write this section]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending
You can delete your account from the Account screen at any time. Its forms stop at once; after 7 days every submission, file and record of the account is deleted, and backups age out within 90 days. You can download everything as one file before then.
A trial that ends unpaid keeps its data for 30 days, then deletes it, after an email. A paid account whose subscription ends keeps its data for the retention period chosen on each form, then deletes it, after an email.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute [To decide: confirm with the solicitor]. If we change these terms we will email account owners at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
