DRAFTnot legal advice
Acceptable use policy
Enquiry sends email for its customers, so one account’s misuse can stop everyone’s enquiries arriving. These rules protect that.
DRAFT, not legal advice. Written as a starting point for a solicitor to check before Enquiry opens to the public. It isn’t in force, and nothing here is a promise yet. Marks like [To decide: this] are things still to be decided.
Last changed 26 Oct 2026. Earlier versions: none.
Don’t use Enquiry to
- send email to people who didn’t ask for it, or use the autoresponder to send marketing or to reach addresses typed in by someone else;
- collect passwords, card numbers, bank details or one-time codes, or pretend to be another business or organisation (phishing);
- store or pass on malware, or use uploads as file hosting;
- collect special category data (health, beliefs, biometrics and the like) or data about children without a lawful basis and the protection it needs;
- break the law, infringe others’ rights, or harass anyone;
- test, probe or overload the service, get around its limits or checks, or reach another account’s data, unless we have agreed it with you in writing.
What we watch
Bounces and complaints are counted for every account. An account whose mail bounces at 2% or more, or draws complaints at 0.05% or more, over its last 50 or more emails in 7 days, is paused automatically and its owner is emailed why. Addresses that bounce or complain are not sent to again.
What we do
If an account breaks this policy we may pause a form or the account straight away, and we tell the owner why. We restore it once the cause is fixed. For a serious or repeated breach we may close the account; the terms say what happens to its data. To report misuse of a form, write to hello@bromputers.co.uk.
